A Message from Tara Bzdok,RD,CSR,LD

Austin, TX

I created this business to fill a void in our healthcare system. Contrary to common sense, insurance companies have traditionally not covered preventative services. Instead, they wait until the patient is extremely sick before covering services to help them. By this time, there is no possiblility of a reversal of the diagnosis. I have been working with dialysis patients for the last 5 years as a renal dietitian. Many of them start dialysis without ever knowing they had chronic kidney disease. The two major causes of kidney failure are diabetes and hypertension. If these two conditions are controlled early on, kidney damage and many other complictions, such as heart disease, blindness and amputations, may be avoided. I am passionate about getting the word out to everyone that you need to have your blood sugar, blood pressure and kidney function tested regularly. Our dietitians all have experience working with kidney patients, and they know what diet changes are needed to prevent or slow the progression of kidney disease. Our expertise in this field is the key to helping you lead a happier, more energized life.

A Message from Andrea Dombrowski,RD,LD

North Austin

My name is Andrea Dombrowski and I have been a Registered Dietitian for two years. I completed my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, completed my dietetic internship at Iowa State University, and am currently working on a master's degree through Central Michigan University.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin but love the culture, diversity, and warmer weather of Austin. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, reading, watching movies, and working out with my favorite workout buddy, my husband.

During my career as a dietitian, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, counseling people of all ages in a variety of disciplines. I most commonly counseled individuals for childhood and adult obesity, pre- and post-bariatric surgery, diabetes, renal disease, and anorexia related to chronic disease. The best part of my job is providing guidance and support so each individual can achieve their health and nutrition goals to live life to the fullest.

South Austin

Hello!  My name is Jill Galligher and I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA.  I've been interested in health and nutrition since my early high school days, and happily I was able to turn that interest into a career.  I graduated from West Virginia University in 2006 with a B.S. in Human Nutrition and Foods.  From 2006-2007, I completed my dietetic internship through Adagio Health, an agency that provides WIC and other health-related services in rural Western Pennsylvania.  Since then I've worked in long-term care, a hospital, and currently in dialysis.  My expertise is in renal nutrition, however I'm also interested in weight loss, wellness, cardiac, and GI.
